The Department of Communication Studies of Marshall University and the WV Beta Chapter of Pi Kappa Delta are pleased to invite you to attend the 6th Annual Chief Justice Invitational & Pi Kappa Delta Southeast Province Comprehensive Tournament to be held on Saturday, October 25 – Sunday, October 26, 2014. The tournament will be held on the campus of Marshall University in Huntington, WV. We will offer three rounds plus finals in all NFA Individual Events, AFA POI, and two experimental events: Broadcasting and Improv Duo, six rounds in Lincoln – Douglas Debate, 4 rounds in IPDA, Parliamentary Debate and Public Forum Debate with the appropriate number of elimination rounds. Students may cross enter IE and Debate. Students in debate may enter only one debate and IE per pattern, except for pattern B which is IE only. IE only contestants may enter up to three IEs per pattern. Contestants may not enter both Extemp and Broadcasting. DEBATERS MUST GO TO THEIR INDIVIDUAL EVENTS FIRST. We will offer varsity and novice competition in all IE and Debate events if the number of entries permit, if not we will recognize the top non-advancing novice in each event.
