DESCRIPTION:The Governing Board of the Southern Forensics Championships invites you to its eleventh tournament. As with everything this academic year\, this tournament will be held virtually\, utilizing the ForensicsTournament.net and Yaatly platforms. The Southern Forensics Championship serves as the intercollegiate championships for the states of Arkansas\, Louisiana\, and Mississippi\, but it is open to all who wish to participate. We will have an asynchronous IE tournament featuring the standard AFA-NIET events\, and our usual offerings of NPDA\, Team IPDA\, and IPDA. \nSeveral things will be different about this tournament\, so please read this invitation carefully to comply with all rules. DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the University of Utah and The University of Texas at El Paso\, we invite you to join us digitally for the Great Salt Lake Invitational/UTEP IE Classic held via the forensicstournament.net/8×8 video conferencing platform. The tournaments will be held on January 15-17\, 2021. The tournament will utilize the following format: \n  \n\nFriday\, Jan. 15 – UTEP Classic\n\nSynchronous IPDA Tournament\nAsynchronous IE Tournament\n\n\nSaturday\, Jan. 16 – Great Salt Lake Invitational\n\nSynchronous IE Tournament\nSynchronous IPDA Tournament\nSynchronous NFA-LD Tournament (with double elims)\nSynchronous BP Debate Tournament\n\n\nSunday\, Jan. 17 – Great Salt Lake Invitational\n\nSynchronous NFA-LD Tournament continued\nSynchronous BP Debate Tournament continued\n\n\nBoth tournaments will utilize forensicstournament.net for tournament registration and administration\, as well as the 8×8/jitsi video-conferencing platform.\n\nOnline Tournament Guide: https://forensicstournament.net/online\n\n\n\n  \nThese tournaments will offer a single\, open division of NFA-IE events\, Open and Junior divisions in NFA-LD and IPDA Debate\, and an open division of BP with recognition for top novices. Additionally\, the Open division of NFA-LD will feature a double elimination format in outrounds. In addition to a tournament that we hope will support a broad range of competitive interests and formats\, we also look forward to supporting everyone’s efforts to navigate forensics in this difficult environment. Accordingly\, for this year\, we will institute a flat fee of $10 per person (per swing) regardless of number of events entered (within entry/cross-entry restrictions). However\, all participants will receive a commemorative tournament facemask\, all elimination round participants will receive recognition awards\, and we plan to offer high-quality awards for tournament champions in all events and divisions. SUMMARY:T-Town Swing: North Eastern State University Swing
DESCRIPTION:Tulsa Community College and North Eastern State University are coming together to host the first ever T-Town Swing. \nThis tournament will be an online tournament to help those who fear traveling during the current Pandemic because keeping our students safe and engaged in this activity is important to us. We will work to accommodate all schedules for teams across the US at our event. \nThe T-Town Swing will be a comprehensive tournament featuring synchronous online Debate and Asynchronous Individual Events. Entries for Individual events will be due by 12:00 PM Wednesday September 23\, 2020. The Debate portion of the tournament will take place Friday and Saturday September 25-26. This will allow us time to navigate errors and other issues associated with online tournaments. \nWe will host a live awards ceremony over zoom for our attendees in order to keep the feel of comraderie that we have come to love and enjoy as part of the activity.
